First step of How to Install Cyanogen Mod ROM on your Nexus One is unlocking the bootloader of your nexus one. If you see an unlocked symbol while you buy your nexus one, you don’t need to do that. Unlocking the bootloader will make nexus one is accessible for rooting. The next step is flashing the recovery image. The way to flash is getting your phone to bootloader mode again by pressing the trackball button and power button together and the phose should be connected to computer too.

Then the flashing process of How to Install Cyanogen Mod ROM on your Nexus One is preparing a “recovery-RA-nexus-v1.6.2.img”. You can download this file on the internet. After downloading, duplicate the file to the SDK tools folder in Windows. Then using command prompt, you have to browse the SDK tools folder and when you are in that directory. Then copy both file in nexus one SD card’s root folder. After choosing “recovery” in bootloader menu, you will find a new menu. Before going to far, if you still love some part of your old phone, you can back up the data with Nandroid apps.

Press volume down to get back to menu, and in the main menu of recovery system, choose “wipe” menu and then choose “wipe data/factory reset” to remove the old operating system. When wiping done, press volume down and choose “flash zip form sdcard”. Then choose the “update-cm-5.0.4.1-N1-signed.zip” file then press the trackball twice so the installation will start. Once installed, click”the Google Add-on zip file gapps-passion-ERE36B-2-signed.zip.” That is the last step and now, you will have a new room in your smartphone.
