Sport News: Bale Wins Wales’ Player Of The Year Again

Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale continues to dominate the Wales’ Player of the Year award, after winning it for a fourth consecutive time.

For the sixth time in seven years, Real Madrid star Bale received the honour following a ceremony at the Football Association of Wales (FAW) awards on Tuesday.

The forward impressed with Wales at the Euro 2016, scoring three goals in the group stages, as he helped them to the semifinals. And won his second UCL trophy with Madrid.

Bale, who has 64 caps is also three goals away from equalling the all-time goalscoring record of 28 goals by Ian Rush.

Stoke City midfielder Joe Allen walked away with two awards – the Players’ and Fans’ Player of the Year.

As for manager Chris Coleman, he won the FAW Special Award after guiding Wales to the semi-finals of the European Championships.

It was Wales’ first appearance at a major tournament since 1958.
